
Phillip Cleaves
From The Patriot Ledger Quincy, MA [slightly modified] KINGSTON, N.H. -- Phillip B. Cleaves, 54, of Kingston, N.H., a retired computer equipment analyst for the U.S. Government, died Monday at the Lahey-Hitchcock Medical Center in Burlington.Mr. Cleaves was born in Weymouth. He graduated from Weymouth High School. He matriculated at Dartmouth College but graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.He was a disabled Army veteran of the Vietnam War.Mr. Cleaves worked for 2-8 years as a computer equipment analyst for the U.S. Government Defense Contract Management District in East Boston retiring in 1995.He enjoyed golfing, and was a former member of Furnace Brook Golf Club of Quincy. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, and enjoyed skiing, hiking, and camping.He is survived by his wife, Karen (Danaby) Cleaves; a daughter, Patrice D. Cleaves of Kingston; his mother, Barbara (Libbey) Cleaves of Weymouth; a brother, Bradford S. Cleaves of Norwell; and a niece and a nephew.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, N.H. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Newton Junction, N.H.Visiting hours will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 246 Walnut St., Newton, 02158.Phil was born Jan. 1, 1943 and passed away on June 23, 1997.
