Esther Brown

Esther Brown

This is a tribute to the life of Esther Stennes Brown, both a talented woman and mother: So little is known about Esther Stennes Brown; Sadly, much of her life is overshadowed by the scandalous events surrounding the murders of her mother and subsequently her father. Esther was a housewife, mother, but also a talented artist whose artwork lives on. To view an online Gallery of Esther’s Artwork, please click the following link: http://sunroadgraphics.com/photography/photo-and-art_galleries/Esther%20Stennes%20Brown/index.htm Some little facts about Esther: During Christmas time, Esther wouldn’t buy Christmas cards to send out to Family and friends, she would design her own. She was a remarkable cook, to the point where her walnut fudge recipe was on the wish list of many who knew her. She was an accomplished artist—Esther was a graduate of the old Massachusetts’ College of Art of Boston. She was an Impressionist, Sketch artist, who did work on her own and by commission. Esther was an accomplished interior decorator and was employed as such. She was a strong passionate woman who was influenced by her Lithuanian, Norwegian, and Swedish heritage. A horticulturist, host, Airline Stewardess, Model—and truly unique individual, Esther knew how to bring people together and bring out the best in them. Rugged enough of a woman to refinish and dining room set or to lay brick down in a walk way, and gentle enough to paint scenery in a painting—she led a contrasting lifestyle. Who knows what influence her life would have on us all if she were alive today. Her son, Peter B. Brown, 3rd
