Ronald E. DiGravio of Marshfield, a retired athletic director and football coach, died Nov. 22, 2003 at his home. He was 60.Born in Quincy and raised in Weymouth, he was a class of 1960 graduate of Weymouth High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He later graduated from Purdue University in Indiana, where he was an all-American quarterback. He also played baseball for Purdue, and turned down an offer from the Boston Red Sox to continue his education.Mr. DiGravio played two years of professional football in the Canadian League. He then began working as a physical education teacher and head football coach at Marshfield High School in 1969.
