Peter Meuse
East Bridgewater. Peter Blair Meuse, Sr. of East Bridgewater, husband of Elaine (Bugbee) Meuse, died Wednesday at Brockton Hospital.
Born in Cambridge and raised in Weymouth, he was a 1960 graduate of Weymouth High School and a 1963 graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy as a two striper his senior year.
Mr. Meuse sailed in the Merchant Marine for 10 years, achieving the rank of first officer before he came ashore.
He was president of Phoenix Resources in Medford until his retirement in 1999.
He enjoyed boating, photography and band radios.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Peter B. Meuse, Jr. and Stephen D. Meuse, both of East Bridgewater, a daughter Laura E. Sebastyn of South Weymouth; two sisters, Martha A. Prosl of Duxbury and Paula A. Brown of Weymouth, a brother, Michael Y. Meuse of Plymouth; a granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 10:30 am Saturday from the Macdonald Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, South Weymouth, followed by a funeral mass at noon in St. John’s Church, East Bridgewater. Interment will be in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
