Carol Ann Cavanaugh

Carol Ann (Lyman) Cavanaugh, lifelong resident of East Weymouth, passed away March 10, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, of 53 years, George Cavanaugh of East Weymouth. She was the beloved daughter of Catherine (Delorey) Lyman, 95, of Weymouth and the late Robert J. Lyman. Carol is survived by her 7 children; Kathleen, Michael, George, John, Marianne, Patricia, Christina and their families; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving sisters; Dot, Fran, Bobbie, Donna, Pat, Nancy and their families; beloved brother-in-law, Richard; and sisters-in-law Patricia and Diana and their families. Carol is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was a selfless caregiver whose career was raising and caring for her family. She was never happier than enjoying the company and accomplishments of her family and friends. She worked as a waitress for many years in Weymouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.), North Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday prior to the funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 a.m. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.
