Patricia Hudson

Patricia Ann Hudson LaTona Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia, or Patti as she was called by her friends, was born on February 12, 1941 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Charles and Alice Hudson. The oldest of three children, she was the first to leave her small community in Massachusetts and move west to California with her husband, Ray and three small children in 1975. They made their home in Lucas Valley, near San Rafael, where Patti lived with Ray until her passing. Patti was active in the community serving on numerous PTA groups and supporting her girls in all of their activities like Girl Scouts, Sports, and the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Patti was known to many people as the owner of Patti Ann's Hallmark at Northgate Mall in San Rafael for a number of years. She opened her heart to those that worked for her as well as many of her loyal customers. After the store closed, she enjoyed traveling with Ray and showering her grandchildren with love. Her caring nature extended past her immediate family. Pat regularly surprised friends and children in the neighborhood with goodie baskets for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. The holidays were especially important to Patti, and she always made sure that the Toys for Tots barrels were overflowing so no child would be disappointed on Christmas morning. Patti will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Patricia is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Raymond and their daughters Suzanne LaTona, Barbara Mazza and Judith Hall. She also leaves behind her brother Gerald Hudson of Florida, seven adoring grandchildren, dozens of nieces and nephews and countless friends that were as close as family
