Kenneth R. McKee, age 69, April 18, 2012 of Estero FL, formerly of Hanover and Hingham. Kenny passed away comfortably and peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his bedside after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer. Kenny was born in Medford, raised in Weymouth and was a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1960. Kenny was a Master Pipefitter with Pipefitters Union Local 537, recently honored for his 50 years of membership in their United Association. He was the dearly beloved husband and best friend of Beverly McKee, having recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Kenny was an adoring, beloved father to Deborah Paine and her husband Scott of Norwell and Brian McKee and his wife Yvonne of Austin, TX. Cherished and idolized Grampa extraordinaire to Ryan Paine, Rachel Paine and Kendall McKee. He was the devoted son of Doris McKee of Hanover and the late Glen McKee, brother of Janice DiGravio of Hanover, Ronald McKee of Pembroke and the late David McKee, also survived by many nieces and nephews. To Kennys family and friends, he was an imaginative story teller, teacher, comedian, magician, Jack of all Trades, toy maker, confidante and loyal friend. Kenny was an avid New England sports fan. He leaves all those who loved him countless cherished memories. Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, April 25th from 4 to 8 pm at McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St, So. Weymouth, MA. Burial will be private.
