Comment: My recollections of my education at Weymouth High School, 780 students, half days, left a lot to be desired but drove me to do some of the work I do today with children and testing them for ADHD and lots of other learning disabilities.  I left Weymouth High School feeling that further education was out of my reach.  In addition, marriage was not at the top of my list so at age 25 I moved to LA, worked at UCLA Medical Center in Pediatric Neurology and typed reports for the developmental psychologist; there I had the fleeting thought that I might do this work some day.  I also met the man I would marry in 1970, we have three wonderful boys who live in various parts of FL.  We divorced in 1990 the same year that I graduated from U. of Connecticut but we have remained friends.
Is there anyone you would like to hear from?: Cecile Lavallee Petze
What have you been doing for the last 60 years?: Having children prompted me to go to college, (I wanted them to have a good education) a community college just down the street from my house in NE CT. There I learned that I had a reading disability so taught myself to sight read, a very long process but well worth the work; I eventually transferred to U. of Connecticut and graduated with a major in psychology and a minor in anthropology in 1990. I continued on in graduate school at UCONN and did my internship in Oklahoma City, the year of the bombing. There I helped provide psychological services to workers and families who had experienced loss in that tragedy. When my internship was complete, I moved to FL and worked there and in looking for a postdoctoral site, moved to Houston TX, and provided services to the CAC for children and families that had experienced child sexual abuse. When I completed my hours for licensure, I moved to the bush in Alaska (Bethel), and opened the psychology office for Child Protective Services and worked with the Native Americans in the YK Delta. After 3 years, I moved to Ft. Defiance AZ and worked in the hospital for IHS with Navajo families. In 2005 having made many friends and colleagues in OK, I moved to Norman and was in private practice until 11/1/2018, then a year in Gallup NM providing psychological services in the outpatient clinic and in 11/1/19 moved to Redding CA where I will be opening up a private practice here. My life has been blessed, my children are wonderful, I have hiked the Grand Canyon with friends made in Ft. Defiance and for my 60th birthday got my motorcycle license and bought my first Sportster in 2005. I joined Biker\'s Against Child Abuse (BACA) in 8/2006 supporting children who are fearful of going to courtroom when they have to testify.

Those of you reading this after our 50th Reunion, I want to say how great it was to see so many of our classmates at the Reunion. Many thanks to all those inolved in putting it together. Those that could not make it I am sorry that you missed such a great event. I wish that the committee would do a booklet for those of us who want it that classmates can pay for to keep after this website ever goes away. (and I guess for those who don't have access to the internet). God bless each of you, and if you are ever in south Georgia, please give me a call.
