ROCKLAND – Carol L. (Adam) Callahan, 76, of Rockland, died peacefully at her home on December 29, 2018, after a bout with cancer. She was the loving wife of Joseph Callahan Jr.
She was born November 30, 1942, to the late RalphandMary(Decoste) Adam in Weymouth. Carol was raised and educated in Weymouth.
In grammar school, she was given the title of Ms. Elden B. Johnson and was a graduate of Weymouth High School.
Carol worked for many years as a manager for the Salvation Army. Earlier in her life she was a den mother for Troop 36 and later in life a member of the Foxes Den camping group.

More recently, Mr. Adams was a resident of Abington. A veteran, he served in the Navy Seabees. Prior to retirement, Mr. Adams was a United States Postal worker. Beloved husband of Dorothy "Dolly" (Lewis). Devoted father of Robyn Cleaves, David, Stephen, James and Nicholas. John Bruce passed away at his home in Watkins Glen, NY. He and I were married for 55 years. We lived most of our lives in Duxbury, Mass and our children and their families still live in that area. After our retirement, we enjoyed our winters in the southwest and, more recently, our home in Ft. Myers, FL.

2019-01-09Neil Baker, age 77, a lifelong Weymouth resident passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 9, 2019. Neil was born in 1941 and attended Weymouth schools. He graduated from Dean Junior College with a degree in Business. Neil was married in 1964 to Helen McDonough at Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth. They settled in Weymouth where they started a family and have cultivated many great memories over the years. 2016-05-07James "Jim" P. Balcom passed away on May 7, 2016, at Vitas Hospice in Naples, Fla. Born in Manhattan, Kan., he grew up in Weymouth, Mass., and graduated from Weymouth High School. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and a master's degree from the University of Guam. He spent 4 years active duty in the Navy and 8 years in the Reserves obtaining the rank of Lieutenant. He enjoyed a long career in sales and marketing with 3M Company.
